Improve Your Writing with a Dash of Punctuation!

 There's so much confusion about punctuation, but with clear direction students can learn the power of advanced punctuation marks like colons and semicolons.

Colons are just like the headlights of cars: they show the way to what is to come.

Semicolons are more like advanced commas, as their shape suggests; they have a connecting function which is stronger than a comma.

If you read over those last two sentences, I hope you can see how I have used each!
