About

Michael Hartland

I studied English Literature at Cambridge and after five years in my first English teaching job, I moved on to my first of three Head of English posts which I held over the next 17 years, before becoming Vice Principal for two years then Principal for six years.

During my career I have been an examiner and moderator, and tutored, both at GCSE and A Level

I am an Associate of NACE (the National Association for the Teaching of More Able Children) and lead training for schools seeking to provide better for bright students and those applying for the best universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.

This blog, Literature of the Hart.blogspot.com, was launched in 2024, as I created my educational partnership Hartland Educational Consultancy Services - Hartland Educational Consultancy Services (wordpress.com)

You can view my LinkedIn profile here to read my latest posts on education.
